The Kogi State Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the November 11 election, Dino Melaye, has predicted the outcome of the forthcoming polls.
Naija News reports that the PDP chieftain on Wednesday, after a meeting of Kogi PDP stakeholders from the three Senatorial Districts of the state with the members of the National Working Committee (NWC), said the party would win because things have never been this bad for citizens in the state.
INEC Speaks On APC National Convention
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not notified it of its national convention slated for February. On November 22, 2021, Chairman of Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, had announced that the party’s national convention will hold in February.
He made the announcement alongside the Caretaker Chairman of the party, Mai Mala Buni, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock Villa.
Tinubu Tables Fresh Request Before Buhari
The National Leader of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to reduce interest rates in order to reduce the suffering of Nigerians and save the economy.
In a statement on Sunday, Bola Tinubu stated that reducing the rates will encourage domestic investment and production, create jobs and wealth.
He, however, admitted that lower rates will have some negative short-term impact on inflation and the exchange rate.

The general overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry World Miracle Center, prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanemere, also known as Odumeje, has been beaten up by officials of Anambra state government for obstructing demolition process.
