Researchers in the UK are currently looking for volunteers to offer to be infected with a coronavirus and held in quarantine to help them find a vaccine more quickly. According to Newshub, these volunteers will be paid £3,500 (about $4,600) for their time and effort.

Chef Dammy Has Now Made An Application
The Guinness World Records has acknowledged the application of the 120-hours cook-A-Thon of Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy.
Naija News recalls that the chef began cooking on Friday, June 9 in Oye-Ekiti with a 120 hours cooking time goal.
On Wednesday morning, Adeparusi hit her target of 120 hours of cooking amid jubilation from folks and criticisms from others.
In response to an inquiry, GWR on Wednesday, June 14, maintained that the chef did not seek their approval before beginning the cook-A-Thon as there are procedures and rules which would have been sent to her to follow.

Lawan Opens Up On N/Asembly Collecting $10 million Bribe To Pass PIB
Senate President Ahmed Lawan has denied a report that the National Assembly members collected a $10 million bribe to pass the controversial Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). Lawan made the denial on Monday in an interview with State House correspondents after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential, Villa Abuja.
Recall that the Nigerian leader signed the controversial bill into law as confirmed in a statement last week Monday by his spokesman, Femi Adesina.
Buhari Is A Disappointment, He Has Not Changed
The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said President Muhammadu Buhari has disappointed Nigerians. Speaking in an Instagram Live interview with Chief Dele Momodu, the former Vice-Presidential candidate said Buhari has not met the expectations of Nigerians.
The cleric said there is a general feeling of disappointment among Nigerians who expected change, adding that Buhari is still the same person and has not been changed by power.
Economic Hardship Only Temporary, Reforms Yielding Positive Results
The Federal Government has promised Nigerians that the economic hardship felt across the country will only be temporary. The Minister Of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made the promise during a ministerial press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to the minister, the reforms and measures adopted by the Bola Tinubu administration to cure structural dislocations in the economy begin to yield results.
He said the reforms of the government have already begun to yield positive results as seen in the GDP growth of 3.

The Nigerian Police, operating through its Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos State, has announced the apprehension of Oyeabuchi Daniel Okafor and Jasmine Chioma Okekeagwu. They were arrested on charges of conspiring and defrauding John Ikechukwu Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, of the sum of N55 million.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the FCID revealed that it had acted upon a petition submitted by Diamond Waves Law on behalf of the actor’s wife, Stella Maris Chinyere Okafor.
