The All Progressives Congress, APC has spoken on speculations indicating that President Muhammadu Buhari demanded that the presidency be zoned to a region. Some reports had earlier claimed that the president insisted that a flag-bearer from the South be selected.
Buhari and the party leaders met with the aspirants at the State House in Abuja, Saturday night.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, has warned fans and Nigerian youths to shun drug abuse.
Naija News reports that the singer paid a visit to the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) chairman, Buba Marwa, at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja today, August 17, where he declared his support for the fight against substance abuse.
Naira Marley, in a video shared by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, via Twitter, urged Nigerians to stop all substance abuse, stressing it poses a threat to health.
